The IT Help Desk is the front end Customer Service department for all of IT.
You can contact us two ways:

Phone Support Hours:
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Closed Saturday, Sunday, all University holidays
- No workstation, lab, server, network, phone or other technical support is available after hours.
IT Service Desk Counter in Tanimura & Antle Family Memorial Library
Walk-in Service is available at the IT Service Desk counter, located on the first floor of the Tanimura & Antle Family Memorial library.
Walk-in service hours for Spring and Fall:
- Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Closed all University holidays
- Close during Winter and Summer sessions
Among other responsibilities, the IT Service Desk counter staff:
- Provide technology assistance to students, staff and faculty using the library computer and technology enhanced facilities.

Provide personal laptop computer support that includes:
- Get connected to the CSUMB wired and wireless networks
- Get connected to MyMessaging
- Get connected to the Home Server (installation and configuration of SFTP software and connecting to the Home Server)
- Get your machine protected from virus, worm and spyware threats (installation/configuration of Symantec anti virus/spyware protection software and configuration of Microsoft/Windows Automatic Updates)
- Get your technology questions answered
- These services are designed to be instructional and will require the customer to participate in the process. IT@CSUMB does not offer drop-off repair service. Customers will get their hands "dirty" and our goal is for them to be able to self-repair should the same thing happen again in the future.
