Scheduled Power Outage
IT was notified that there is a planned electrical outage related to the Campus Infrastructure Improvement Project. With this Project, many electrical transformers, cables and associated high voltage equipment will be repaired or replaced.
To minimize disruption to the campus, they have scheduled the first phase of work for Friday, 11-23-07 and Saturday, 11-24-07 following Thanksgiving Day. Electrical power service will be interrupted from approximately 7:00 A.M. until approximately 5:00 P.M. both days and affect these buildings:
Building 1 -- Administrative Offices, Offices of the President & Provost
Building 2 -- Academic & Administrative Offices
Building 3 -- College of Professional Studies
Building 4
Building 6 -- Institutional Assessment & Research
Building 8 -- Student Activities
Building 10 -- Center for Teaching. Learning & Assessment
Building 12 -- Library & Residential Life
Building 14 -- Student Center
Building 16 -- Dining Commons
Building 18 -- Media Learning Complex
Building 21 -- Academic Skills Achievement Program ~ First Year Seminar
Building 23 -- Human Resources
Building 202 -- Residential Hall
Building 203 -- Residential Hall
Building 204 -- Residential Hall
Building 205 -- Residential Hall
Building 206 -- Residential Hall
Building 208 -- Residential Hall
Building 210 -- Residential Hall
Building 211 -- Residential Hall
Please note that isolated electrical outages for this same group of buildings will also be necessary during the holiday period of 12-26-07 through 12-29-07 following Christmas Day. Five electrical transformers and other associated high voltage equipment will be replaced during this period of time. Schedules for outages and specific buildings will be finalized and distributed on, or before, 12-1-07.
IT network services will not be available during the power outage in those locations and we recommend that you turn off/shut down your computer when you leave on Wednesday, 11-21-2007.
