Of the most recent 35 million (35,000,000) email messages received from the internet and reviewed by our Spam filtering system (Barracuda), 25 million (25,000,000) were rejected because they were Spam. This means that over 70% of incoming internet email CSUMB receives is Spam and is stopped before it clogs your mailbox.

Other cool statistics about those 35 million messages:

- 250 thousand were infected with a virus
- 1.5 million were tagged as spam and delivered
- 9 million were delivered without modification
