Capstone Support

IT@CSUMB.EDU supports the Capstone Festival technical needs and can work with your designated technical coordinator given sufficient time and specific information regarding student presentation requirements.

A department/college level technical coordinator acts as a liaison between the students and the support technicians, identifies the software and hardware needs for each presentation and answers individual student technical questions.

Conference and Event Services is in the process of establishing Capstone Festival technical coordinators and the list should be available in mid to late March (we will publish it here when Conference and Events Services is done).

All technical support requirements for the Capstone Festival must be coordinated with your department/college coordinator. Individual requests will be closed and we will direct you to the appropriate coordinator.

Technical support requirements should be submitted to IT@CSUMB.EDU by the coordinator no later than April 15.

Capstone tips:

-There is a very limited number of AV equipment available, so the use of any of the 25+ Technology Enhanced Classrooms (TEC) is recommended. These locations have a computer, projector, VHS, DVD and most have speakers too (List of all TEC Classrooms).

-Laptops are not available for checkout to support capstone events

-There are no capstone video recording services available through IT, but there are a few MiniDV camcorders that can be used for this purpose. You will need to supply the tape and a volunteer to operate the equipment.

Technical support requirements should be submitted to IT@CSUMB.EDU by the coordinator no later than April 15.
