Information Technology helpdesk moved over fall break
Over the Fall
break (November 24-26), the Information Technology (IT) Help Desk moved
from the Media Learning Center (MLC) to the first floor of the Tanimura
& Antle Family Memorial Library. The IT Help Desk located in the
Chapman Science Academic Center (CHAC) moved at the same time.
The counters in the MLC and CHAC are no longer staffed. If you require classroom support in those locations, please call the IT Help Desk (582-HELP) from a classroom phone or submit a service ticket. We will monitor and maintain those labs the same way we do for all other labs locations across the campus.
The hours and availability of the Chapman Science Academic Center building, Media Learning Center building, labs and "Fish Bowl" were not affected by the move.
Existing walk-in services are available in the new library:
-- Get connected to the CSUMB wired and wireless networks
-- Get connected to the CSUMB email system (installation and configuration of the FirstClass client and logging in)
-- Get connected to the Home Server (installation and configuration of SFTP software and connecting to the Home Server)
-- Get your machine protected from virus, worm and spyware threats (installation/configuration of anti virus and spyware protection software and configuration of Microsoft/Windows Automatic Updates)
-- Get your technology questions answered (a chance to ask a question or learn more about technology at CSUMB)
