CSUMB Mobile
You can access CSUMB.EDU using your smartphone (e.g. iPhone, Android, Blackberry) or tablet using its built-in web browser at the address:
You'll find a number of resources already available through CSUMB.EDU but streamlined to deliver quickly and efficiently to your phone's browser, including:
- map
- campus tour
- news
- bus & shuttle
- events
- library
- athletics
You'll also see some features that require your OtterID to log in, such as:
- OtterCard balance
- You schedule of classes
Web Services in IT will be adding more of these kinds of features to help students solve the "business problem" of getting the information they need to make important decisions.
Technical Requirements
You need only use the web browser on your smartphone. We've tested successfully on
- iPhone
- Android
- Blackberry.
If you have a smartphone that is not able to show CSUMB.EDU, let us know!
NOTE: Currently Blackberry 5 users are not able to use their browser to access CSUMB Mobile, but this is a known issue and will be addressed. Blackberry 6 users are not affected.

Software Framework
We chose not to build a native app for any one smartphone but instead build a "seriously cross-platform & cross-device" web app using jQuery Mobile, an open source and free initiative to bring simplicity to the mobile web.
